When the body of a little girl washed up on a Galveston beach, it was Ms. Gibson who gave the girl a face and a personality. Lois, a forensic artist, volunteered to do a rendering of the girl, christened “Baby Grace,” for Galveston police because she felt it was important to find out who that little girl was and to bring her killers to justice.
